What activities do you lose yourself in?
In a practical sense, this means, you stop trusting your eternal security to anything else but the love and power of Almighty God displayed through Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross at Calvary. On the cross, Jesus took ALL your sins and your very Sin Nature upon Himself and suffered ALL the judgment of God for you.
The Savior taught His disciples, “For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it” (Luke 9:24). I believe the Savior is telling us that unless we lose ourselves in service to others, there is little purpose to our own lives.

Mark. 8:34-38
For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel’s, the same shall save it. For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
And we pray:
I don’t really know what to do to give You control of my life, but I am coming to You in humility of heart to admit that I can do nothing in my own strength and to confess my need of You in my life. Lord, I pray that Your grace and mercy would lead and guide me and take control.
God of Love – I feel like I am lost but Your Word says that You will always guide me. You do not leave me wandering through life, but you are with me during every moment of every day. Help me to follow Your ways when I feel weary and frustrated and help me to experience joy in life. May I be like the well-watered garden, which thrives because the roots are firmly planted in Your Love. Amen.
