Matthew 7:7-8 says, “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and it will be opened for you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened”. This passage appears in the Sermon on the Mount and some say it can be interpreted as a way to align one’s heart with God’s through prayer:
Asking: Making requests known to God
Seeking: Searching for God, His Word, and His will
Knocking: Seeking entrance into the Heavenly Palace
