My lifeline is not boring! Each and every day, I live as I hope to exist for always!
The Christian perspective emphasises that life’s purpose is deeply rooted in understanding and fulfilling God’s plan for us. It is about aligning our lives with divine wisdom and guidance, seeking to live out our unique roles within God’s overarching narrative.
Christianity is an actively passive religion. You actively pacify your flesh. You actively deny yourself credit for all virtue in order to to credit God for performing virtue through you (lest you be self-righteous) and actively submit to God’s power by embracing your impotence to contrast it. You deny your life to make room for God living through you. You deny your will to submit to God’s.
Christianity is all about suppressing your identity to get out of God’s way so that good things can happen, because who you are (the Old Man) is evil and useless, while whom God makes of you (the New Man) has mastered and will be free from having a will of his own.
This passivity sucks out all of the variety of life and pulls it into the sinless and featureless nothingness that is perfection in Jesus. The quirks and imperfections in us, which are sins, are what make us unique and give us personalities. When approaching spiritual perfection, which is always a straight line with no adventurous navigation to enjoy, our sinful personalities must be crucified with our sinful free wills.
Angels display no personality whatsoever in the Bible, and the obedience of the 2/3 in heaven show that, being sinless, their personal or free wills are perfectly subordinated and enslaved to the one will of God.
This underlying unspoken teaching is the basis of Christian practice and philosophy about the Christian life in general.
