DESTINY ENCOUNTER!
Carefully look at this image… it pictures many CHURCHES today! It raises various issues. But, hold on ✋️ just who is at FAULT? The CONGREGATION or the PASTOR??? This mentality/mindset/practice evidently speaks volumes. Question? Just Who is in Charge in the body of Christ? This should not be something considered too long! A body has many parts!
The phrase “a body has many parts” appears in the Bible in 1 Corinthians 12:12-27, where Paul uses the image of a body to explain Christ’s relationship with believers:
One body, many parts: Christ is like a body with many parts, but all the parts are one body.
The parts of the body: The parts of the body that seem to be weaker are the ones we can’t do without.
God’s arrangement: God has placed each part in the body just as he wanted it to be.
The way of love: Strive eagerly for the greatest spiritual gifts.
The application to Christ: You are Christ’s body, and individually parts of it.
The church: The church is like a body, in which every part is needed, and all the parts exist to serve one another.
There is ONE head that controls the body!
“Then JESUS said… “If you ABIDE in MY WORD, you are My DISCIPLES indeed. And you shall know the TRUTH, and the TRUTH shall MAKE you FREE.”
Jh. 8: 31-32.
In the Bible, Jesus says, “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples” in John 8:31. This verse means that to be a true disciple, one must continually obey Jesus’ teachings and live in accordance with them.
Here are some ways to interpret what it means to abide in Jesus’ word:
Remaining in the force field of the word
Not leaving the word
Not ceasing to be persuaded by its truth
Not elevating any other truth above it
Not ceasing to be attracted by its beauty and value
Not ceasing to rest in its grace and power
Having the Lord’s Word set the principles, practices, purposes, and promises of our life
Living according to the standards of the Word of God
Obeying the Word
By this bible quote, whoever doesn’t ABIDE in or LIVE by HIS WORD perpetually is not HIS DISCIPLE but this is a boring gospel today as it doesn’t suit those who never want to CHANGE. A PASTOR who ABIDES in CHRIST wouldn’t TRAMPLE on or OPPRESS the Church this way and no TRUTH-SEEKER would ever delight in such CHURCHES either. Notably, the GOSPEL TRUTH about JESUS’ redemptive works set only those who ABIDE in it FREE!
Any way out? Yes! It’s the “OLD PATH” of righteousness, true love, fear of God and character integrity; genuine REVIVAL is the solution… so, do your part and PRAY for the CHURCH.- Jere.6:16.
