DESTINY ENCOUNTER!
“Do not let EVIL defeat you; instead, conquer evil with GOOD.”
– Rom. 12:21 (GNT)
The verse is a call to live as Jesus did, by continuing to do good and giving back to those who do wrong. It encourages people to set aside their natural inclinations and live at a higher level by the Spirit’s power.
The verse follows other exhortations in the chapter, such as “Bless those who persecute you” (verse 14) and “Do not repay anyone evil for evil” (verse 17). The theme of the passage is how to love with sincerity.
The verse also suggests that God will handle vengeance, ensuring that justice is served to those who persecute believers.
PAUL concluded his admonitions on the expected Christian VIRTUES with this bible quote and the image. No one is totally GUILTLESS of it for our SINFUL NATURE delight in VENGEANCE to prove SOMETHING about himself. Our world remains unsettled for this reason as many civil and international wars are rooted in it. Oh, how PEACEFUL life would be if we could vow never to PAY EVILS for EVILS…
A cute PUPPY tried to attack me recently but l stood still with FRIENDLY SIGNALS, he just stopped barking and began to wag his tail joyfully as l patted his head, if l had attempted running or retaliating, it would have been a terrible scene… EVIL would have DEFEATED me!
The lesson? LOVING the UNLOVABLE isn’t of our human nature but God’s as seen in JESUS Who never stopped PRAYING for humanity even for His ENEMIES… our world is yearning for PEACE, be a CARRIER!
