My salvation. By God’s AWESOME grace it deepens daily!

A verse that speaks to the daily growth of salvation is found in 1 Peter 2:2, which says, “like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation” – essentially indicating that our salvation is something we actively “grow into” through our faith and reliance on God.
Key points about this verse:
- “Grow up in your salvation”: This phrase highlights that salvation isn’t just a one-time event, but a continuous process of spiritual development.
- “Crave pure spiritual milk”: This metaphor encourages a constant desire for nourishment from God’s word, which is essential for spiritual growth.
I attended a boarding school in Nigeria. One evening after dinner en route to class for evening preparatory session; I had an experience that changed my perspective on life and my eternity.
Very simply, I was walking with my classmate from the dining hall to the classroom and had stepped on something; I was bitten – by a snake!
There was a ‘health center’ staffed by a ‘nurse’, who was unavailable at such a late hour. In essence, I was between a rock and ‘hard place’! Transport to the hospital would’ve taken an inordinate period of time and arrangements!
In essence, I was a ‘goner’! Two other students passing by heard my yell in shock and pain, asking what had occurred my friend told them…immediately they started praying for me it was unintelligible (speaking in tongues.) I then felt a band around my leg, didn’t see anything but felt a tightness move down my leg that was bitten. A fluid escaped from my toes.
Distraught, I returned to the dormitory in tears. Lay down and fell asleep thinking I would never wake up! Tears covered my face, and I fell asleep! Only to awaken the following morning! I ran to seek out my classmate – he was shocked to see me hale and hearty! We enquired about the two students who had prayed for me. To cut a long story short – they were Christian students who attended FCS – the Fellowship of Christian Students and upon locating them and pouring my gratitude for their intervention, they explained that they were ‘led to go that way and everything happened as I shared above.
I needed! what they had demonstrated! I went to a gathering of Christian students on Sunday; officially gave my life to Christ and have had my life changed since!

Yes! ups and downs, but my heart is forever changed! This leads me to why I share here on injesusname.blog. As I have shared on this site: my story – I was in a severe motor vehicle accident, my experience I have shared. Rather than repeat what I have shared. I share about God’s unending, indescribable Love!
