Who is your most influential teacher? Why?

“A great teacher doesn’t just educate; they inspire, challenge, and leave a legacy that lasts a lifetime.”

am expressing a belief that Jesus continually and always teaches me, which is a common sentiment within Christian faith, rooted in the belief of Jesus’ Presence and Guidance

Here’s a deeper look at that belief, drawing from scripture and common Christian understandings:

  • Biblical Basis:
    • Matthew 28:20: “And know that I am with you always, even to the end of the age”. This verse is often cited to support the belief that Jesus’ Presence and guidance are ongoing.
    • Isaiah 58:11: “The Lord will guide you continually, and satisfy your soul in drought, and strengthen your bones; you shall be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.”
    • Psalm 32:8: “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with My eye on you.”
    • Psalm 86:11: “Teach me Your way, O LORD, that I may walk in Your truth. Give me an undivided heart, that I may fear Your Name.”
    • Lamentations 3:22-23: “The steadfast Love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.”
  • Spiritual Learning and Growth:
    • Christians often see Jesus’ teachings as a source of guidance and wisdom for living a meaningful life.
    • The belief in Jesus’ continual teaching can inspire a sense of hope and purpose, even in difficult times.
    • It can also lead to a deeper understanding of God’s will and how to live in accordance with it.
    • Many Christians find that studying scripture, praying, and seeking guidance from their faith community helps them to learn from Jesus’ teachings and grow in their faith.
    • A Faithful Sower writes, “I am very thankful that God provides me with opportunities to be a servant and continually teaches me something!”

Those who are taught the Word of God (Jesus) should provide for their teachers, sharing all good things with them.

You lead by example! Study Jesus, Who never stepped out/away from The will of God! Yes! It has been more than 2000+ years! Jesus has been studied, argued on, fought about…

Each and every day of His life is known!

Today, we discuss the most influential teacher in my life. The examples Jesus provided with His life, parables, words, sermons… A One in a Google! In truth, there will never be any; even close to Jesus! My teacher – Jesus is!!!

Amazingly, He teaches me continually and always

“Trust in the LORD with all your heart And do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight.”

Proverbs 3:5-6 (NASB)

Repeating the theme of verse 1, Paul reminds the believers at Colossae to keep their minds on godly, spiritual things. This is meant for those who have accepted Christ, and received Him as their Savior. Rather than looking to the earth around them, the minds of Christians should be focused “above.” The things “above” are the things of God. God is often noted as being “above” in the New Testament (John 3:318:23Ephesians 4:10) and heaven is described as “above” (James 1:17).

In this context, the “things of the earth” are associated with ungodly activities. For example, James 3:15 notes a false approach which “is not the wisdom that comes down from above, but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic.” In contrast, the “wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere” (James 3:17). This does not mean that believers should ignore all earthly concerns. It does, however, mean that believers ought to give their time and attention to things pleasing to God, rather than things pleasing to men.
