The body of Christ – The Church.

The phrase “The church as the body of Christ” signifies a profound connection between believers and Jesus, emphasizing unity, diversity, and mutual dependence within the Christian community. It highlights that the church is not just a building or an organization, but a living organism, with Christ as the head and believers as various parts of the body, each with a unique function.

Here’s a breakdown of the meaning:

  • Unity in Diversity: Just as a physical body has many parts (hands, feet, eyes, etc.) working together, the church comprises diverse individuals with unique gifts and roles, all united under Christ.
  • Interdependence: Each part of the body relies on the others for proper functioning. Similarly, Christians need each other for support, encouragement, and to fulfill their respective roles within the church.
  • Christ as the Head: Christ is the source of life and leadership for the church, guiding and directing its actions as the head of the body.
  • Ongoing Incarnation: The church, as the body of Christ, embodies Christ’s presence and continues his work in the world, extending his love and grace.
  • Two Levels of Meaning: The phrase can refer to the universal church (all believers throughout history) and also to individual local churches, emphasizing that each congregation is a part of the larger body of Christ, according to Desiring God and Love Worth Finding

THE TRIPOD OF FAITH.

“Jesus said to him, “If you want to be PERFECT, go, sell what you have and give to the POOR, and you will have TREASURE in heaven; and come, FOLLOW ME.” But when the young man heard that saying, he went away SORROWFUL, for he had great possessions.”-Matt.19:21-22.

Hope we understand this image… is that you as A CHURCH? Is that how your CHURCH operates?

LOVING God and man, and also MAKING DISCIPLES are the core of CHRISTIANS’ CALLING but GODLINESS with no moral and spiritual DEFICIENCIES anchor the RELATIONSHIP with GOD… that’s PERFECTION! Like the RICH MAN in this bible quote’s context, we may keep ALL the LAWS but if it’s in our own TERMS and CONDITIONS instead of GOD’S WAY, we’re yet to be the HEAVEN-BOUND CHURCH with first-hand RELATIONSHIP with God!

The truth? RELATIONSHIP with God in holiness must precede RESPONSIBILITIES else our WORSHIP and SERVICES are mere SHOWOFF… so, seek God first!

May we not miss our DIVINE TARGETS.🙏🔥
