What is God’s grace?

We as humans are not deserving of the awesomeness of grace we receive.

God’s grace is the unmerited favor and divine assistance that God bestows upon people. It is a free gift of love and forgiveness that cannot be earned or deserved through one’s own actions or merits. In many faiths, it is the power that enables salvation, forgiveness, and spiritual growth.

Key aspects of God’s grace

  • Unmerited favor: Grace is a gift of goodness from God that is given freely to people who do not deserve it.
  • Salvation and forgiveness: In Christianity, grace is the basis for salvation, allowing people to receive redemption and forgiveness for their sins through faith in Jesus Christ.
  • Divine assistance: Grace can be seen as God’s power that helps believers overcome challenges, grow spiritually, and live a more holy life.
  • Not earned: It is distinct from mercy, which is the withholding of deserved punishment; grace is the active bestowing of a blessing that one has not earned.
  • A continuous gift: Grace is not a one-time event but a continuous source of strength that believers can draw upon daily.

THE TRUMPET OF LIFE!

God’s grace is truly amazing considering the fact that none of us deserve His favor and mercy; yet He sustained and saved us by it. Awesome!

No one is anything or somebody and can be anywhere worthwhile in life without God’s amazing grace. Let’s imagine being the direct opposite of who we are, or where we are today… Or is it all by our self efforts? What/where/how??? We are who, where, what we are only by God’s amazing grace!

Her i’s the root and the essence of the grace: Jesus brought it purposely to save us! Hence, whoever still rejects Him despite the unmerited favor enjoyed thus far is the worst ingrate. How do you respond to this grace daily? Selfishly? Soberly?

Dear reader, the same grace that lifts mankind can bring him down.

Not for destruction though, but to redirect an individual to repent, King Nebuchadnezer sampled this… So, appreciate the Grace of God; obey Him and maximize it to be your best in life!

The statement, “The same grace that lifts mankind can bring him down,” suggests that any powerful, beneficial force or quality, even one as positive as “grace,” can have a dual nature or unintended negative consequences depending on its application, interpretation, or the human response to it.

Here is an analysis of its possible meanings, as the statement does not have a single, widely-recognized origin but touches on common philosophical and theological themes:

  • Human pride and self-sufficiency: In a religious context, “grace” is often described as unmerited divine assistance. The quote might suggest that a person who is “lifted up” by grace might become proud or assume the achievement is their own doing, which ultimately leads to a spiritual downfall, as pride is often presented as a sin in many belief systems.
  • The nature of power: The statement could be a secular observation that any powerful tool or concept—such as knowledge, wealth, or political power (metaphorically referred to as “grace”)—can be used for both construction and destruction. The very strength that builds something up can, if mismanaged, tear it down.
  • A cautionary proverb: The phrase functions as a warning against hubris, implying that one should remain humble and grounded when experiencing good fortune or success (“grace”), as the conditions that led to the rise can easily reverse.
  • Balance and duality: It speaks to a universal principle of balance, where extreme reliance on any single factor, even a positive one, can create vulnerability in another area.
