Die to self, live for Christ!

THE TRUMPET OF LIFE!

We surely wants to live but in what sense? Here are Jesus’ words:

By the bible illustration above about planting with hope of a bountiful harvest, we have learned by experience that a seed cannot germinate and produce unless it is placed under specific circumstances, I share this in the day of hydroponics, yet even in hydroponic gardening the seeds in essence are ‘drowned’ in essence ‘laid to rest’ first before living productively!

Living here for we as humans is beyond being merely alive, but being of substance and relevance! We must in Christ, essentially die to lust and undue pleasures that add no value to humanity.

If we (and my prayer is that we all do) have a vision to pursue and fulfill, should we be scared of denying whatever may hinder us? Notably, self-denial enables us to focus on what matters!

To deny what hinders your salvation, you must reject or turn away from sin, pride, and self-will that lead you away from God’s path. Hindrances can include sinful actions, harmful habits, worldly desires, and a hardened heart that resists God’s guidance, even during trials. To overcome these obstacles, it is necessary to ask God for strength and to consistently seek His kingdom and follow His teachings.

Common hindrances to salvation

  • Sin and pride: A refusal to admit your need for God and an attachment to your sins are significant obstacles.
  • Self-will: A desire to “do your own thing” is a form of bondage to sin, leading people to reject righteousness as a restriction.
  • Worldly desires: Your focus on worldly pursuits can distract you from God’s will and lead you to neglect your salvation.
  • Hardened heart: Trials and tribulations can cause a person to become bitter and harden their heart, hindering their ability to receive God’s word.
  • Neglect: Putting off matters of salvation indefinitely because you are “not ready” is a common hindrance.

How to deny these hindrances

  • Ask God for help: You can ask God for strength and guidance to overcome what is hindering you.
  • Be sensitive to your soul: Pay attention to feelings of unrest or discomfort, as they can be signs that something is a hindrance.
  • Seek His kingdom first: Make it a priority to seek God’s kingdom, as instructed in Matthew 6:33.
  • Use the scriptures: Continue to be instructed by God’s word to help you deny ungodliness and worldly desires.
  • Pursue righteousness: As instructed in 2 Timothy 2:22, actively pursue faith, love, and peace with those who call on the Lord with a pure heart.

The truth? Jesus died to the world to live on; all the difference-makers who have impacted their world rarely lived pleasantly; life is fruitful when we deny ourself the comfort of irrelevant protocols to focus on the eternal goals – that is a great and endless life… let’s ask God for such!

Blessings!🙌🙏🔥
