Walk as Jesus did. True joy is found in walking as He walked.

God requires Israel to fear Him, walk in His ways, Love Him, and serve Him with all their heart and soul, keeping His commandments for their own good. This verse emphasizes a holistic devotion to God, involving reverence, obedience, love, and wholehearted service, leading to a life pleasing to Him.

Here’s a breakdown of the requirements:

  • Fear the LORD your God: A reverent awe and respect that leads to godly living, not terror.
  • Walk in all His ways: Living a life that aligns with God’s commands and moral standards.
  • Love Him: An emotional and spiritual commitment to God.
  • Serve Him with all your heart and soul: Dedicating your entire being (emotions, will, life) to His service.
  • Keep His commandments and statutes: Actively obeying His laws for your benefit.

In essence, Deuteronomy 10:12 summarizes the core of the covenant relationship: a life of devoted, obedient, and loving service to God.

Key Aspects of a Covenant Relationship

  • Agreement & Promises: God initiates, offering Himself and His promises (e.g., protection, provision) in exchange for human faithfulness, love, and obedience.
  • Relational, Not Just Legal: It’s a deep, personal bond, more profound than a mere contract, akin to a marriage.
  • Backbone of Scripture: Covenants structure the entire biblical narrative, showing God’s unfolding plan to redeem humanity.
  • Key Examples: Noah (rainbow sign), Abraham (circumcision), Israel (Law at Sinai, Passover), and the New Covenant through Jesus (blood, baptism, communion).
  • God’s Character: Demonstrates God’s faithfulness (hesed), justice, and persistent love for His people.

Entering and Maintaining the Covenant

  1. Called to Covenant: God graciously invites individuals to join with Him.
  2. Entering the Covenant: Through faith and obedience (like Abraham going out by faith), one agrees to the terms.
  3. Keeping the Covenant: Requires ongoing maintenance, nurturing, and remembering, allowing God to work and provide mercy.

The New Covenant

  • Established through Jesus Christ’s sacrifice, making forgiveness and a closer relationship possible.
  • Promises direct access to God’s power and blessings for those who keep these sacred promises through faith and ordinances like baptism and communion.

THE TRUMPET OF LIFE!

“…now, Israel, what does the Lord your God require of you, but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all His ways and to Love Him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart…”

Deut. 10:12.

Only God knows the magnitude of our dreams and prayers for this year 2026, we want it to be the best ever and make the best out of us. Our Loving God expected that as long as it will glorify Him but we must obey Him – relationship is mutual and Love is reciprocal!

The truth? Most of the history of our wretched past is/was the effects of walking outside or against His ways So, search His Word and toe His ways for the best in this year!

It is well.🙏🔥
