Father, in the Name of Jesus – give us our daily bread, Amen.

Each and every day, Jesus teaches us to seek God continually. Jesus led by example – every morning while it was still dark outside He went to pray!
Based on Mark 1:35, Jesus modeled prioritizing communion with God by waking up “very early in the morning, while it was still dark,” to pray in a solitary place. This habit allowed Him to find refreshment and focus before the day’s demands, despite having just finished a long day of ministry.
Key Aspects of Jesus’ Morning Prayer Routine:
- Seclusion: He left the house to go to a “solitary” or “desolate” place, ensuring undisturbed, intimate connection with the Father.
- Priority: Even after a demanding day of healing and teaching, He prioritized this time above extra sleep.
- Intentionality: He sought to align Himself with God’s purpose before beginning the day’s work.
This practice, often referred to as “the secret place,” was essential for Jesus, showing how believers can find peace and strength through similar daily, focused prayer.
