The most common Christian acronym for choosing Jesus is J.O.Y, which stands for Jesus first, Others second, and Yourself last. This framework prioritizes putting Christ at the center of life to achieve true fulfillment and Love for others.
And we must ask:
- WWJD: “What Would Jesus Do?” (a reminder to model actions after Christ).
- WDJD: “What Did Jesus Do?”.
- WNL: “What Next, Lord?”.

📍Feeling FORSAKEN?
We have all blasphemed God either consciously or ignorantly at certain points in life especially when expectations are pending. We often may feel forsaken with undertone of regret for following Jesus.
Feelings of being forsaken or regretting the cost of following Jesus are common, echoing Christ’s own cry on the cross. Such emotions often arise during intense trials or suffering. However, Christian, scripture promises that God does not abandon believers, using these, challenging times to shape faith and refine character.
Key insights on navigating this experience:
- Emulate Christ’s Cry: It is acceptable to cry out to God when feeling abandoned, as Jesus did with “My God, My God, why have you forsaken me?”.
- Understand the Purpose: Suffering or loneliness in faith is often part of the spiritual journey, not a sign of failure.
- Combat Regret with Hope: Rather than looking back with guilt, focus on the future, aspainful days and regrets are not final.
- Embrace Grace: God uses mistakes and struggles to strengthen faith, and His grace is sufficient to overcome feelings of worthlessness.
Thankfully, God understands and bears with us, He’s Loving and Merciful!

“IF then you were RAISED with CHRIST, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the Earth. For you DIED, and your life is HIDDEN with CHRIST in God.”
Col. 3:1-3.

From this bible quote, have you died, been raised and hidden with Jesus? Unless the answer to these questions is yes! We’ll feel unfulfilled, we complain, and regret following Him… let’s check our stand with God!
The truth? Every time we’re not excited about Jesus and wonder why He permitted certain situations is a silent way of regretting… let’s accept Jesus unconditionally and without reservation!
God have mercy on us, Amen!🙏🔥
