“Ephphatha — Be opened.” In the Gospel account, when Jesus spoke that Aramaic word, it was more than a miracle of hearing restored—it was a life released. Closed ears were opened, but so was destiny. When Jesus speaks, barriers break. Hearts that were hardened begin to soften. Minds trapped in fear begin to receive truth. Emotions weighed down by pain begin to heal. His voice carries authority over every locked place in your life. What has felt stuck, silent, or sealed is not beyond His command.
Sometimes prayer does not come in perfect sentences. It comes in sighs, tears, and wordless groans. Yet even there, the Spirit is working deeply within you. Today, hear Him speaking over your situation: Be opened. Be released. Be restored. No door remains shut when Christ declares freedom.
“After He took him aside, away from the crowd, Jesus put his fingers into the man’s ears. Then he spit and touched the man’s tongue. He looked up to heaven and with a deep sigh said to him, ‘Ephphatha!’ (which means ‘Be opened!’).” Mark 7:33–34.
God bless you abundantly.
