I was an Assistant Professor of Surgery when I was involved in a near fatal motor vehicle accident. In my coma (which I, a decade later) can remember like it was yesterday (which it is!) I remember everything that occurred. It is amazing in my ‘dream’ I was heading a procedure – none of the individuals in the OR were known to me! I put it to the ‘dream’ state…
On recovery, I was impatient! Until I was moved to know God’s timing is perfect, serving as a cornerstone of faith that promises events unfold at the precise moment to maximize blessings and fulfill divine purpose, rather than human convenience. Though waiting can be difficult, this perspective encourages patience, trusting that delays are preparation, not denial.
Key Aspects of God’s Perfect Timing:
- Never Late or Early: God is not bound by time and ensures that blessings arrive neither too soon nor too late, but exactly when you are ready.
- A Test of Faith: Waiting allows for character growth and forces reliance on God rather than personal, often anxious, efforts.
- Trust Over Understanding: Even when circumstances seem dire or delayed, believers are encouraged to trust that God is working behind the scenes.
- Purposeful Delays: Delays in, for example, employment, relationships, or personal goals are often meant to prepare you for the blessing.

Father LORD, everything around me is as You will. I praise You for restoration. In my life, Your will be done. Use me as You will LORD. Cleanse me, wash me with the blood of Jesus. Where You desire me to be, in the Name of Jesus – direct, lead, guide me there to Your glory LORD. By Your AWESOME grace, I am gifted with Your Spirit within me. Hallelujah!!! Direct me LORD, minister to me through Your Word. In Your Word Jonah, Job, Saul (who became known as Paul) were moved to be examples to Your glory. Father, use me to Your glory, I pray in Jesus’ MIGHTY Name, Amen.
