Do I have a ‘favorite’ Bible verse?

I can share that many people find comfort, guidance, or inspiration in popular verses like Philippians 4:13 (“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”) or Jeremiah 29:11 (“For I know the plans I have for you…”), as indicated by frequent sharing and bookmarking.

Commonly Cited “Favorite” Bible Verses:

  • Philippians 4:6–7: Encourages prayer and promises peace.
  • Joshua 1:9: Focuses on strength and courage.
  • Romans 8:28: Highlights that God works all things for good.
  • Psalm 46:10: Reminds readers to “be still and know that I am God”.
  • Matthew 6:34: Advises not to worry about tomorrow.
  • Proverbs 3:5-6: Encourages trusting in the Lord.

People often choose verses that relate to their current life circumstances, such as seeking comfort during hard times, needing encouragement, or finding strength.

The primary Bible verse for taking all burdens to God because He cares is 1 Peter 5:7, which instructs believers to “cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you” (NIV). This verse invites believers to deliberately transfer worries and burdens to God, trusting that He is deeply invested in their well-being and watches over them.
