I am sharing what has been placed on my heart… Waiting periods, the will of God, your purpose… You ARE! And so???

Key Bible verses about God having a purpose for your life include Jeremiah 29:11 (plans for hope and a future), Ephesians 2:10 (created for good works), and Romans 8:28 (all things work together for good). These scriptures emphasize that God has a deliberate, positive plan for every individual’s life.

Key Verses on God’s Purpose:

  • Jeremiah 29:11: “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future”.
  • Ephesians 2:10: “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do”.
  • Romans 8:28: “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose”.
  • Proverbs 19:21: “Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the LORD’s purpose that prevails”.
  • Psalm 57:2: “I cry out to God Most High, to God who fulfills his purpose for me”.
  • Philippians 2:13: “For it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose”.

Key Takeaways:

  • Pre-determined Work: God prepared specific good works for you to walk in.
  • Hopeful Future: God’s plans focus on providing hope and a positive future.
  • Sovereign Control: God works through all circumstances—even difficult ones—to accomplish His purpose.
  • Active Guidance: God is active in your life, providing guidance, and His purpose will stand regardless of human plans.

When God places a desire in your heart, it is often a prompting to align your will with His, rather than a guarantee of instant fulfillment. Based on Psalm 37:4 (“Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart”), this signifies a process where God transforms your longings to match His purposes, often leading to purpose-driven, righteous goals.

Test ALL things!
“Test all things; hold fast what is good”
1 Thessalonians 5:21

Key aspects of God-given desires include:
– It Often Follows Alignment: When you take delight in, and seek satisfaction from, God, your desires naturally shift from temporary pleasures to eternal values.

– A “Soul Map” for Purpose: These quiet longings act as a guide to your calling, often aligning with His, rather than our own, timing and purpose. There is so very much to share about this! “But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.” 2 Peter 3:8 This is the idea of the verse—both a day and a thousand years are such miniscule amounts of time to God that it really makes no difference to Him. If a person promises to do something, there is a finite amount of time available for him to keep that promise.

– The Purpose of Waiting: Delayed desires are often a form of preparation, where God refines your motives and strengthens your faith.

It’s an Invitation: In both Christian and broader spiritual contexts, such desires are often interpreted as an invitation to turn to Him in prayer and trust, not just a promise of a specific outcome.

How to Discern if a Desire is from God:
– Does it align with Scripture? God will not place a desire in your heart that goes against His Word.

– Does it produce peace? True spiritual desires bring a sense of peace, even if accompanied by a challenging path, rather than anxious obsession.

– Does it bring you closer to Him? Godly desires prompt you to trust Him more, rather than making you obsessed with the outcome.
