Matthew 7:7, meaning that if you ask God for help, you will get it.

Meaning of the Phrase

Ask: Speak your needs in prayer.
Seek: Look for answers through action.
Knock: Be persistent in your faith.

Have you been consistent in your faith?

Staying consistent in faith means choosing to trust and follow God through every high and low, relying on daily habits rather than passing feelings.

It is a lifelong journey of commitment rather than a state of perfection.

Building a Steady Faith

  • Daily Time: Setting aside quiet moments to read scripture and pray.
  • Community: Meeting with other believers for support and encouragement.
  • Focus: Keeping your eyes on God’s unchanging nature when life gets hard, and always.

I am led further to point a direct finger at God’s grace in timing!

In the Bible, the Holy Spirit promised the devout man Simeon that he would not die before he saw the Lord’s Christ.

Simeon fulfilled this promise when he held infant Jesus at the temple. Separately, Jesus told His disciples that some standing there would not taste death before seeing the Son of Man coming in His Kingdom, commonly interpreted as a reference to the Transfiguration.

Simeon and the Promise in Luke

  • The Revelation: The Holy Spirit told Simeon he would see the Messiah before death.
  • The Fulfillment: Simeon went to the temple when Mary and Joseph brought baby Jesus.
  • The Response: He held Jesus and praised God, saying he could now depart in peace.

The Statement on Seeing the Kingdom

  • The Teaching: Jesus stated that some standing with Him would not die before seeing the Son of Man coming in His Kingdom (Matthew 16:28).
  • The Interpretation: Scholars frequently view this as a prediction of the Transfiguration, which occurred shortly after for disciples like Peter, James, and John.
