Keep moving forward!

This statement reflects core biblical themes about leaving the past behind and focusing on God’s future.

Key Bible Passages

  • Lot’s Wife (Genesis 19:17): Angels warned Lot and his family to flee Sodom without looking back. When Lot’s wife looked back, she turned into a pillar of salt, symbolizing a fatal attachment to the past. Jesus later tells His followers to “remember Lot’s wife” (Luke 17:32).
  • The Plow (Luke 9:62): Jesus states, “No one who puts a hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the Kingdom of God”. Looking back while plowing makes it impossible to draw a straight line.
  • The Apostle Paul (Philippians 3:13-14): Paul writes that he forgets what lies behind and strains forward toward what lies ahead, pursuing the upward call of God.
