As we end our week in Christ, we give thanks.

Dear God, thank You for bringing me through another day. As I get ready to rest tonight, I’m reminded that fear was never Your design for me, it came in when sin did. Your Word in Genesis 3:10 says, “And he said, ‘I heard Your voice in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; and I hid myself.’” God, just like Adam and Eve, I’ve had moments where I’ve tried to hide the parts of myself I know aren’t pleasing to You, but the truth is that I can’t actually hide from You. You see me completely, inside and out. Instead of running from You when I fall short, help me run to You. Take away the fear that makes me want to hide and replace it with the peace of knowing that You Love me more than I could ever imagine. I give this night to You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Meaning of the Verse

  • Confess: To admit or agree with God about your wrong actions.
  • Faithful: God always keeps His promises to forgive.
  • Just: God remains completely righteous because Jesus already paid the full price for sin on the cross.
  • Purify: God cleanses your record and restores close fellowship with Him.

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
