We are known! There is a parallel existence.
“The Angel of The LORD encamps around those who fear The LORD and HE (The LORD) delivers them” Psalm 34:7
Furthermore, we are informed in The Word of how things go. Not even roaming too far.
“We seek The LORD, and he answered us;(We must seek. Seek and you shall find. All you have to do is knock and the door shall be opened.”
If you are home and hear noises outside—crying, rage, despair, someone needing something/anything—do you open the door? Think on this. Yes, it is a HUGE difference if there is a knock, no?
Someone needs my attention. You may look through the peephole to see who or what it is…seeing, you open. ALL is known, yes, at times we may feel that our needs are not met by a LOVING God. Did you ask the way The Word says to ask?
We can go off on this, but to focus on our share:
Building a relationship with Our Father
1. Build a relationship with God;
2. Praise God and give thanks first;
3. Confess and repent of sin;
4. Ask God for forgiveness;
5. Make amends with other people; and
6. Pray against evil that may be around you.
We have The Lord’s Prayer as a baseline. A key background is Matthew 6:9–13 (NRSV) and Luke 11:2–4 (NRSV).
Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And do not bring us to the time of trial, but rescue us from the evil one.
To forge on with the sharing, God our Father delivers me from all my fears when I ask.
In having a relationship with Him, you first are perplexed, to pray ALWAYS? 1 Thessalonians 5:17 says pray without ceasing,
Those who look to God are radiant; (somewhat complex to explain, but the next quote ties it in nicely) their faces are never covered with shame. (If and when we turn to God in dependence. God created the physical, the seen from the unseen. HE can do it for you.)
I will take a short stroll down the lane of pretense or falsehood. We see people being healed in churches- big bucks. There is $$$ in religion. Hold up! The Son of God came as the stepson of a carpenter. Imagine, in those days they didnt make much. Even at His birth, they traveled for the census and He was born in a manger! The dwelling place of beasts. At times this fact is made to loom pristine in paintings. Cattle drop manure where they stand. Flies, insects, the smell??? Again, sorry I point out the reality.
Kings from a distant land followed the star as they were led. They were put up in Herod’s palace, these were no ‘simple’ men, they were royalty.
The Story in the Bible tells us that Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea during the time of King Herod. Magi from the east came to Jerusalem and asked, ‘Where is the one who has been born King of the Jews? We saw His star in the east and have come to worship Him.’
So much follows, they were led not to return to inform Herod who stated he wanted to show respect (kill Him,) this ‘supposed’ King of the Jews. What had happened we can read about. Isreal as a nation stepped away from God and fell away from His grace and were taken away in captivity. You can study/read on this or I can share. They were peons to the Romans who ruled. When things were right with King Solomon, with King David, we see what was. We can even go further back, in the tine of Moses. Following God’s command Moses went simply to ask if the Israelites could be released for a short period to worship their God. It was in God’s plan. The punishers were punished.
The plagues, loss of first-born sons. Then finally death in the Red Sea. Imagine! The Israelites were on foot, they (the Egyptians had horses, chariots…) yet, they pursued and the people they pursued who were on foot crossed an impossible route being pursued on horseback! They made it across. Have you thought of the amount of time it would take for cattle, women with children, old people, and their belongings to cross? Yet, no one died!
Furthermore, when the pursuants were in the deepest part of the Red Sea, the Sea swallowed them all and they perished.
This points out a key fact of importance. Yes, you might be comfortable sitting on top of the world. But be mindful, there is much to be considered. This is the now, where will you be in the time to come?
To take it even further back, all is known, Adam and Eve had disobeyed, rather than admit their fault, they hid from God!
Genesis 3:8 “Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the Lord God as He was walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from the Lord God among the trees of the garden.”
We have pointed out that GOD knows all:
God has perfect knowledge of us, and all our thoughts and actions are open before Him.
It is more profitable to meditate on Divine truths, applying them to our own cases, and with hearts lifted to God in prayer, than with a curious or disputing frame of mind.
That God knows all things, is omniscient; that he is every where, is omnipresent; are truths acknowledged by all, yet they are seldom rightly believed in by mankind. God takes strict notice of every step we take, every right
step and every by step. He knows what rule we walk by. What end we walk toward. What company we walk with.
When I am withdrawn from all company, thou knowest what I have in my heart. There is not a vain word, not a good word, but thou knowest from what thought it came, and with what design it was uttered.
Wherever we are, we are under the eye and hand of God. We cannot by searching find how God searches us out; nor do we know how we are known. Such thoughts should restrain us from sin.
(Ps 139:7-16)
When the poor call on The LORD, The LORD hears them. Again, I point out “call” on The LORD! God saves ALL who call upon Him out of all their troubles, Amen
Be patient and wait on The LORD in prayer and faith, Amen
