Life is short! Pt 1

Y’all should I shock you?

Life is so short!
Nope! I am not crazy. It truly is…

Yes, I have heard it all!
Life trolls on…

I was going to throw them out there, but read on…

Life isn’t about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself.

Perplexing!
“I have found that if you love life, life will love you back.”

What is Life? To break this down: “life IS time!”

The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever.
1 John 2:17

He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.
Ecclesiastes 3:11

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Jeremiah 29:11

This gets deep! Pause!

Time? Let us wax Scientific for a second!

Time is a component quantity of various measurements used to sequence events, to compare the duration of events or the intervals between them, and to quantify rates of change of quantities in material reality or in the conscious experience. … Time in physics is unambiguously operationally defined as “what a clock reads”.

What is our “Time”… we can be blatantly frank! We have ‘Time’ here and now.

The big question is – “After”?

🤔 Perplexing!
We have to term it what exactly it is “After life!” Then what?

Wow! A lot to discuss.

We are staying too close to ‘Religion’ here!

I will admit that I have read these:

Atheists had more death anxiety when asked to generate arguments for the existence of God than when they were asked to generate arguments against the existence of God. Theists were less anxious about death than atheists when generating arguments for the existence of God, but more anxious than atheists were generating arguments against the existence of God. Thus, although the size of the effect was smaller for theists, both groups were explicitly anxious about death when generating arguments against their own belief systems.

More anxiety? 🤔 makes me wonder!
We have touched on what can prevent this. Not in any way a ‘public’ confession or pronouncement, but staying on the proposed ‘positive’ side is safer!

A salvation prayer, known by many Christians as a “Sinners Prayer,” is a prayer one would say to repent from sin, ask God for forgiveness, confess belief in Jesus Christ, and accept him as Lord and Savior. Saying a salvation prayer is the first step in your relationship with God.

There are so many ‘points’…what you need to do is confess The Lord Jesus as YOUR hope!
Atheists do not have to in anyway share what they have done. Your life is enough proof that things are ‘sound’ with you.

If you believe the Bible offers truth about the way to salvation, but you have not taken the step to become a Christian, it’s as simple as praying this prayer. You can pray by yourself, using your own words. There is no special formula. Just pray from your heart to God, and he will save you. If you feel lost and don’t know what to pray, here’s a salvation prayer that you can follow:

Prayer of Salvation

Dear Lord,
I admit that I am a sinner. I have done many things that don’t please you. I have lived my life for myself only. I am sorry, and I repent. I ask you to forgive me.
I believe that you died on the cross for me, to save me. You did what I could not do for myself. I come to you now and ask you to take control of my life; I give it to you. From this day forward, help me to live every day for you and in a way that pleases you.
I love you, Lord, and I thank you that I will spend all eternity with you.
Amen.

Short Salvation Prayer

Here is another short prayer of salvation that evangelical pastors often pray with people at the altar:

Dear Lord Jesus,
Thank you for dying on the cross for my sin. Please forgive me. Come into my life. I receive You as my Lord and Savior. Now, help me to live for you the rest of this life.
In the name of Jesus, I pray.
Amen.

Have a very private friend? IF you feel comfortable let them know to keep you in ‘positive thought.’
