Think about the relationship that you have with the Lord: does He truly come first in your life? In my own congregation, many people come for Christmas and Easter service and nothing else. They are more afraid to be punished for not believing rather than truly desiring a relationship with the Lord. Brothers and sisters! God did not teach you to fear Him! He taught you to love Him as He loves you.
And we pray:
Blessed Father, You have taught me the importance of developing a relationship with You. You have shown me the proper path to developing this relationship, and what You ask is simple: that I Love You with all of my heart and strength. Forgive me Father! I know that I can do better, and with this prayer I vow that I shall do better. I pray this in The name of The Father, and The Son, and The Holy Spirit. Amen.
