THE GOSPEL TRUTH!

New YEAR, new RESOLUTIONS but it is not so with everyone, many will PROCRASTINATE until their intentions are forgotten; and eventually nothing is done DIFFERENT from LAST YEAR and yet there is a yearning for TESTIMONIES… it is noteworthy – nothing ventured, nothing gained!

Ecclesiastes 11:6. It is a reminder to take risks and not be afraid of failure.

Explanation

  • The phrase is often used as a financial maxim, but it can also be applied to faith and daily life.
  • It encourages people to take a risk and give up something valuable in the hope of receiving something better in return.
  • Many Bible scholars interpret the phrase to mean helping the poor.
  • The phrase is a general principle of wisdom, not a universal moral command.

Example in the Bible

  • In Ecclesiastes 11:6, the phrase is used to encourage people to take risks and not be afraid of failure.
  • Ecclesiastes 11 also includes the advice to “cast your bread on the waters” and “sow your seed in the morning”.

Ecclesiastes 11:6 says, “In the morning sow thy seed, and in the evening withhold not thine hand: for thou knowest not whether shall prosper, either this or that, or whether they both shall be alike good“.

The verse’s meaning is that one should work hard in the morning and continue until evening, as it’s impossible to know how a task will turn out in the end. It also conveys the idea that one should do good at all times, as opportunities arise, and in all circumstances.

The Hebrew word for “know” in this verse, yada, implies a deep understanding that humans lack regarding the future. This uncertainty calls for trusting in God’s wisdom and sovereignty.

During evangelism, some would say they’re not ready for JESUS for they hope to TIDY UP and CHANGE before they submit to Him. JESUS addresses such mindsets in the context of this bible quote: HUMANITY is sick and helpless; so, thinking of becoming HOLY before seeking God is a FLIMSY EXCUSE IMPOSSIBLE!

The message? Here in 2025, do not wait till you have abundance before GIVING. Stop SINNING before GOING to God; He knows our NEEDS and so God sent His Word – Jesus to rescue and CHANGE us; He welcomes us as we are… so beware of costly
PROCRASTINATION this year, do your part!

May God quicken us to do the NEEDFUL in this year 2025, Amen.🙏🔥
