Do you want an identity that stays the same? Scary concept I know. But to actually dig a ‘tad’ bit deeper!
In Christ, you are God’s child and beloved, forgiven and redeemed, a member of His body and a citizen of Heaven with a DIRECT path to God.
You are God’s workmanship, designed for good works, and have been chosen by Him before the world began. Through Christ, you have been declared righteous, have the mind of Christ, and are complete in Him.
Here are some specific biblical affirmations about YOUR identity in Christ:
Your Relationship with God
– God’s child:
“But to all who did receive Him, who believed in His Name, He gave the right to become children of God”
John 1:12.
Beloved: You are greatly Loved by God (Ephesians 2:4).
“But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great Love with which He Loved us, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved” (ESV)
This verse explains that God, motivated by His abundant mercy and deep Love, brings spiritual life to those who were previously dead in their sins through Christ, offering salvation as a gift of grace.
Key Elements of Ephesians 2:4
– God’s Mercy and Love: The verse emphasizes that God’s saving action is rooted in His profound mercy and great Love for humanity.

Made Alive in Christ: Through Christ, God brings these spiritually dead people to life, a significant act of divine power.
Grace, Not Works: The verse clearly states that this salvation is “by grace you have been saved,” meaning it is a gift of God and not something earned through human effort or good deeds.
Chosen and Adopted: You have been chosen by God and adopted as His child.
Forgiven: You are forgiven of all your sins.
Redeemed: You have been redeemed from the power of darkness.
