Eat of the LORD, AND be filled with the Spirit.

THE TRUMPET OF LIFE!

We eat to survive, grow and live but the food must essentially be digested and absorbed to function in our bodies or else one’s immunity and growth will be adversely affected. This is Noteworthy!

The multitudes were following Jesus in His day, but very few really caught the revelation about Him that the physical bread and fish He gave them were just signs and not His Essence. It’s still the same way today in the present. Notably, the Father and Jesus’ word will not grow and nourish our souls until we believe Him for Who He is as The LIFE!

The truth? God’s Essence is in His Word, but we do not get it until we believe and act on it; the purpose and satisfaction we are yearning for are not in the material world for it is spiritual and eternal, only with this view can one eat of Him and be fulfilled in Him… You cannot ‘over indulge/eat’ of Jesus but eat Him with faith and obedience!

“Eat of the Lord” is a phrase that can have two main Christian interpretations: the literal Lord’s Supper (Communion) and the metaphorical spiritual nourishment through God’s word and presence. The Lord’s Supper is a ceremony commemorating Jesus’s sacrifice, where believers eat bread and drink wine as symbols of his body and blood, while metaphorical “eating” means to spiritually partake in and be nourished by God’s life and teachings.

Lord’s Supper (Communion)

  • What it is: A ceremony that recalls Jesus’s final meal with his disciples before his crucifixion.
  • The action: Believers eat bread and drink wine as symbols of Christ’s body and blood.
  • Biblical basis: Jesus’s command to “do this in remembrance of me” in Luke 22:19, and 1 Corinthians 11:26 states that partaking “proclaims the Lord’s death until he comes”.
  • Meaning: To honor Christ’s sacrifice and keep his death in memory.

Spiritual nourishment

  • What it is: A metaphor for receiving spiritual life and nourishment from God.
  • The action: It can involve reading and meditating on the Bible, praying, and experiencing God’s presence.
  • Biblical basis: Jesus calls himself the “bread of life” (John 6:35) and the book of Jeremiah states, “Your words were found and I ate them, and your words became to me a joy and the delight of my heart” (Jeremiah 15:16).
  • Meaning: To internalize God’s word and truth, allowing it to supply spiritual life and sustain believers.

It’s well.🙏🔥
