We, in faith, are the new Israel. People of the Most High God!

When we go out, by His grace, an angel goes before us. This for a second might put us in a state of concern. We are always on stage. The stage of life. To make it easier to sit, the stages  of life. Each stage is different: conditions, achievements, challenges and so on.

If we look at it this way; who are the best actors, the most renown? Those who “act right,” and bring the house down?  If we decide their performance was ‘outstanding,’ we bestow applause. Even in the most extreme of acting abilities, skill, or of their immersing themselves into their character, in adulation we give a standing ovation.

We, too are on stage…the stage of life. Who watches? We may have read, seen or experienced arriving home to the teeming of adoring numbers. Are you there? Where is home?

Let us look at the characteristics of Love:  Love is patient, Love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast.  It is not proud. It does not dishonor others. It is not self-seeking. It is not easily angered. It keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

These always bowl me over. Are those our characteristics? Are we loved? Do we show love? To hit all these characteristics, we must be superhuman.

Let us take a step back; these characteristics, if expressed, well we can just imagine the adulation. Stepping into the spiritual, we start to be as our Father. We can break it down, not as Him; but distantly mimicking His characteristics.

Are we forgiven? Did we do wrong?
“Who is a God like You, Who pardons sin and forgives the transgression of the remnant of His inheritance? You do not stay angry forever but delight to show mercy. You will again have compassion on us; You will tread our sins underfoot and hurl all our iniquities into the depths of the sea.”
Micah 7:18,19

This gives us something to note, to keep our hearts clothed and cloaked in. What then do we do?

We will lift up our eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh our help. Our help cometh from the LORD, Which made Heaven and Earth. Our Father will not suffer a foot of those who lay in and on Him to be moved: He that keepeth thee will not slumber.

“So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” 2 Cor. 4:18

Behold, He that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.

2 Peter 3:8–9 reads:
‘But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. The Lord is not slow in keeping His promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.’

The LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand. The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night. The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: He shall preserve thy soul. The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore. Psalms 121:1-8

Everyday, we can rest in this. In sharing we can see that we are constantly on stage, whether sleeping or awake.

Relationships: Is love or a relationship ultimately about settling?  No one can be another person’s perfect?

To start off in reverse, are you perfect? To be honest, marriage- is about settling down. The age old adage says: “Settling down.” Once things are established,  biblically you move from your mother and father’s home to be “settled.” It is a point the is what it is! 

Think! “Is she/he settled?” You are setting down a home, a career a relationship…

So many things have the same ‘ring’, setting out, setting your roots in career, setting down a homestead in which to be established.

Everything has its beginnings somewhere. We may look at the world’s best known relationships and learn from them. To water it down, the Clinton’s were in school together, so were the Obama’s. You meet someone, any person, THE person. How does it start? You see, are introduced to or meet someone- The seed is sown, a friendship develops. Just what establishes a ‘relationship’? 

Similarities, common interests, common goals, shared wants, desires… This becomes frighteningly real! Why do you “fall in love?” That person is an extension of you! Check this out! As the bible says, you two become ONE. Incredibly this was stated by Jesus! “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.’ So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.”  Mark 10:7-9


I know that I sound and have become mister bible. Many points. Even if I seem to derive so many things from The Bible, amazingly it has been called The book of Life.  All we encounter, are, experience is in it. I dare challenge anyone to point to something that is not referred to in one way or another. Funny enough, we study and read when we want to be established in FACT. What do we go through that has not already been done, experienced or gone through. In the basic form- in school, we have textbooks. In life, there are newspapers.  Yes, there may be some news coloured in by the attitude or opinion of the writer. But if the same thing is repeated by different authors in different times, it lends credence to what is shared. 

Amazingly,  we have The Bible! This was put together: This table summarises the chronology of the main tables and serves as a guide to the historical periods mentioned. Much of the Hebrew Bible or the Protocanonical Old Testament may have been assembled in the 5th century BCE. The New Testament books were composed largely in the second half of the 1st century CE.

I know that this is a long and complex answer to simple question. The question is not so simple.


In ending this diatribe, you stated “No-one can be another person’s perfect?” I can answer that EXTREMELY easily. ARE YOU PERFECT? A myriad of responses. You work on yourself daily, why would that ever change?

For the most part, I think that answers your questions. More so, PRAY! I cannot stress that enough, in The book I refer to at all times- The Bible, it says pray without ceasing, give thanks in ALL things. In so doing we are established and rooted right where we are and were meant to be.

From your perspective, what is marriage and what are the pros and cons? What did you wish you knew beforehand?

What is marriage? I have to address this from a perspective I had never considered before my accident. It is for life and beyond.

Let us start simple and end strong. So, I took a look in the dictionary and found:

      a combination or mixture of two or more elements. (Are you an element? In every way, Yes!) You have your qualities that make you, you. You are unique. Think on this, there is no-one else on this planet like you. A twin, might look alike, but experiences their own positives and negatives.

    Next, what is marriage in The biblical sense? Check this out “For this reason a man and woman shall leave their parents and be cleaved as one…” He gave up his life for her.” Genesis 2:24: “Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.” Often, I have studied my parents and realize that what one does, reflects the other. Your husband will reflect you, and you them. I will start with “Do you see yourself in them?” Something attracted you. What was it? Again, listening to those,around who know you well is key.

    In answer, what are the pro’s and con’s? Once again- endless. So very much to share, this would best be discussed, but in this forum we will summarize. Wow! So VERY much to point out. I think of the song “I am married to Jesus, Satan leave me alone…” Just what does that place in my thoughts, in my mind? We have already pointed out that a “marriage partner” ‘does’ for their partner. What did Jesus do for us? Yes, things were turned around, we were created as was all in life. We stepped awry of the direction of our Creator. Things needed straightening up. What better than a portion of He that created The Universe setting things right? Yes, all will come to know it. But, we have,a chance, while there is still choice to be made. We beinf believers are ‘married’ to Jesus. He took our sins on His body. Not to stroll too far off course. He essentially was tortured to the brink of death. He still dragged the cross, falling beneath it, till the soldiers commansed someone to aid HIM.  Mow typically, ropes were used to bind an individual to a cross. He was nailed to the cross. Why? Possibly because the shred flesh and blood would not hold Him up. The two other convicts on His sides were tied to their stakes, and their lefs broken to hasten their expiration. 

    Yes, we took a stroll off topic. It was asked what are the pro’s and con’s. Agfain, too numerous to name. Let me try this. If correct, you know it is and will realize that you could do no better! What has the proposed done for you? Again, think, but due to the brain, thoughts being clouded is for life and even longer as a believer. Here,  we learn to be – there. The awe-plenty, non-stop occurences- we share, the good times are shared. When it is said that other is your ‘better’ half. Are they? What qualities make you (“Aww! That was sweet, thoughtful, king and unusual”) Awesome? What makes them awe-plenty?

    Held doors, held umbrellas, surprises, treats, times spent together. Non-ending and complete.
    These are a mite of what to know before you settle. Are you truly their number one? What I realized is that the people who know you best, know you! What do they say? In which direction do they push/point? Learn to listen and take advice from the ones who know you as good as or better than you know yourself.

    Once you take the plunge, you have to ‘deal with’, accepting the good AND bad, the positives and negatives.
    Does this make sense? Yes, there power in numbers, what do the many say? There is a reason we have family, friends, loved ones. People who have our goodwill at heart. Ask! We may be clouded with a range of emotions, seek the assistance of someone who sees clearly through the morass you may be lost in.

    Everything you need to know, you know now. How do they react to situations, you learn their character. Marriage is important for Christians because: it’s a gift from God; it’s part of God’s plan for creation that men and women should live together. it provides a relationship through which husband and wife support each other; this relationship is built on love and faithfulness.

    We can look at animal species. Yes, there are theories on evolution. Quite a few, dinosaurs have been – gone now. The reason I bring this up is simple, we have had time to develop, we are essentially still the same, born with a mind, body and spirit that was,and is and will be. Yes, our bodies are temporary lodging for the spirit, our essence. But, we will go on. Even in discussions with 8mdividuals who believe life goes on, I have encouraged them to open an account. IF they opened it and let it accumulate interest, on their next ‘go-round’, they would be unbelievably rich. 

    From our standpoint, this is a distant unattainable dream, our now is NOW. So? To summarize:

    1. Pray always without ceasing. Seeking God’s will at every step of the way.

    2. Open eyes, open heart. What looks a certain way, will not always look that way. A body builder will not always have that physique.

    3. Look, Listen, Learn. The 3 “L’s”

    4. Make a decision, knowing that this decision is one of the onle decisions you make that will affect you permanently. Other decisions: career, location, employment, family, conditions… We do NOT decide, we are born where we find ourselves. Climbing out is our responsibility. Marriage, not so- we make a known decision, the results are on us.

    I will not be ignorant of the fact that people are offered in marriage, deals struck 8n which the individual or individuals have no say. Frankly, my heart goes out to them. But, again this is YOUR decision.

    Know all you need to know before taking the plunge. You swim? I am sure you learned to “doggy-paddle as you learned to swim. We have friends first. What are the qualities of your most succesful and long lasting friendships?

    I am aware that I could have answered this simply. Frankly, my life is based on a decision I made years ago. It frankly was and is the decision I made to get married. It is a decision I will hope and Pray that all who are considering it pray about. I am not sure that that I have touched it in its totality,  but hopefully I opened up a torrent of information.

    For, like it or not every knee shall bow before Him

    We will acknowledge fact, like it or not. Fact is fact. Best search your heart and know the reasons you will. Understood, there are many reasons you may decide that you ‘may’ not. It has been decreed that you will, Amen. Stop fighting, start believing, Amen

    The same Jesus who needed to borrow Peter’s boat to stand on the sea and preach, was the same Jesus who bypassed use of boat to walk upon the sea.

    The same God who instituted man and woman to come together to have a child, was the same God who planted a child in the womb of Mary without the contributions of a man.

    God can either follow or bypass protocols.

    I decree and declare by the AUTHORITY in the mighty name of JESUS CHRIST, that God almighty will bypass protocols today to FAVOUR and HONOUR you, in every areas of your life that seems hopeless.

    The windows of heaven will open and your blessing will be unrestricted in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
